Why a Red Paperclip?

This experiment may sound familiar to some as it is largely based on the true story of a Canadian by the name of Kyle McDonald who ultimately traded one red paperclip for a house. With just fourteen trades over the course of a year, Kyle moved from a paperclip holder to a homeowner in the small Canadian town of Kipling.
